The smoke fills the air your breath is taken away. your robe long and white tell the floor lying in your bed you seem so helpless you seem so fearless. you seem so reckless. Tell you cough once. twice. My eyes fill with tears as I try and choke back I run. I run as far as fast as I can. Past the metal doors. Past that Exit sign Past the nurses and doctors past everything and past you. It kills me to see you like this Motionless. But you did this deed yourself. You took that tube that screamed death and you placed it in your mouth. You inhaled and knew were it was going. This is all you. And now you have nothing left. And now I lost the thing I loved most. The part that gave me life. |
