today i woke up
with a pain in my chest
its been growing and growing
with every breath
because i know your not at home
or able to call
i know the pain is the reason
it pushed you to fall

but what is one more loaded gun
and another friend dead
if you can get away
without another word said
so you put the bullet in the clip
and you chambered a round
you put your finger on the trigger
and fell down with the sound

now im here today
wishing you were here
i know this car gets kinda crazy
when you forget how to steer
but if you would have said help
i would have walked for days
so that you could be here
and i could see your face

It almost made me cry. I think it's very beautiful. There's been so many deaths lately, it's kind of depressing. I'm glad there's poetry to help us through it, though.
