Love Lost If there exists the best for every soul, The perfect compliment of moon to sun And finding her is yet a valiant goal, I searched and found my one, my only one. As sure as petals glisten fraught with dew And sunlight makes a crystal shine and dance, Our hearts were bound and love was found we knew As eyes secured a bond with but a glance. We loved awhile but life was far from kind, When I alone destroyed what might have been. While happiness and hope were left behind, For love is just a fallacy of men. To dream of love is painful at its best, But so I must each night with every rest. |

This is really interesting, I like it quite a bit. It is an interesting way of wording it and that added a new level to your meaning. Enjoyed |

Dreaming of love can be painful, but somehow seems to fuel hope at the same time. It's a twin edge at times. I also think it's rare that only one person has a hand in destroying it. I like the short and the rhythm here.
