A billion stars Are what I see Blasting through This galaxy As I head toward The singularity Traversing the depths Of time and space I think of you Your warm embrace Your gentle touch I simply can’t replace With heavy heart I heave a sigh Watching light-years Drifting by Why did I do this Now alone I cry Home with you I long to be Not caught in stellar Majesty But it seems that fate Had other plans for me To turn back now It’s far too late The black hole beckons It won’t wait These final thoughts Are all I contemplate There’s one thing more I’ve left to do Across the void I call to you My dearest one Please know my love was true G. Full of emotion and regret, I could feel the energy in your words. |

Wow, this is one of my favorite poems for today. It's beautifully described and I'm personally fond of the subject. Keep it up! |

That's really beautiful. I love the isolation of space as a place in which to talk about something so intimate. |
