As you’re choking on your blood
Lying in your death bed
Clinging to you worthless faith
All too soon you will be dead

Wishing for it all to end
Grasping for a straw of hope
Searching desperately for a friend
Around your neck you place the rope

God won’t save you
As you watch your loved ones die
Questioning how and wondering why
Your soul is weak
Your heart’s a lie

God won’t save you
From betrayal of your friends
His way is clear, a means to ends
You think he loves you
He pretends

God won’t save you
On your bloody knees you prey
Hoping not to face the day
Begging for another way
But in this hell is where you’ll stay

Why won’t he save you?...
Because there is no God.

Thank you for seeing this piece for what it is and not banning it for it’s antireligious sentiment. You're right, it is full of pain just as my life has been.

OOPS!!! I found a typo. I meant to say "pray" not "prey" but piptalk won't let me fix now that it's been over 24 hours since posting this piece...sorry about that!
