I start a new page, Trying to change, The way I feel, How I kneel, To your demands, Waiting for another who understands. But the demons always come back, Filling in what I lack. The sadness that fills me The fear that you have the key, To my mind A key I will never find, Every day you find a new rift, Letting me drift, On an ocean of pain, Playing your game, Awakening a flame, That is not tame, The flame will rise, Filled with lies, Ready to burst, Filled with thirst, Only to be quenched, By your taunts and wrenched, From my heart, Never again to re-start. You leave me cold, Never again to be bold, The life squashed out, Unable to shout, As you make me writhe, Taking your tithe, The demons are in control, Ready to fill the hole, You left in my mind, The drugs that bind, Are the only way I can keep afloat, In your sea, Ready and waiting to feel, The cold steel, And the creeping black, Filling in the crack. |

I know what you mean in this poem, and you captured it beautifully, however twisted it may be. |
