You're that person that'll come over,
All breasts and glasses and smiling face.

Funny how you'll soon be gone without a trace.

Less funny,
More tragic.

World deprived of possible magic.

Waved goodbye to conception,
That was ruled out long ago,
When the snow
Of your winter wouldn't thaw.

But we thought, just maybe,
You could have taken more.

You gave me an umbrella
On a rainy day,
I simple gesture I'll remember.

Funny how simple things stay.

Less funny.
More painful.

One day it will make me disdainful.

The world is cruel,
It will take you whole.
I wish I had an umbrella for your soul.

[Had to change from a word to breasts as the word was not appropriate, even though it is a type of bird.)

*Cries* I have glasses! No, I'm just kidding. But all jokes aside, I really liked this poem. It's got a different style and rhythm and I liked that. It makes a person have to really think about what you, as the author, are trying to say. I really liked the "umbrella for your soul" bit. =^.^= ~UNTAMEDelegance
