So I tried to find this person online

Doesn't seem to go very well so far

The reason why I did was because I care

I care a lot for this person and it's been years

Years since I've seen this person or even talked

I've wondered and had dreams several times

Of course about this person

I wish they would've tried to find me too!

That might have made me feel better

Actually I don't know if they tried to find me or not

I think about them a lot lately

And how life could be different if they never moved

Yes, I guess I'm still in love with this person

However I've asked myself a question

How can I love someone I haven't seen in 4 years?

How can I still be in love with them?

Knowing most likely I'll never see them?

What is the point of loving them?

When most likely they might not love me back?

What can I do?

What should I do?

I've been asking myself that for a long time!

So is it the choice to give up on love?

Or to still be in love but so far away?

I'm not sure what to do?

Ask yourself what would you do?

What you should do in my opinion, is to give your words time for someone else to read them and respond to them before responding to your own. It takes time for people to read on here and you need to give them a chance to think about your words and reply to them.

To answer your plea for help...if it's one sided and he doesn't know your feelings, then it is a lost cause and it will just be something you can keep inside as a memory.

Four years is a very long time to not be in touch with someone. If he had feelings for you too, then you may have to wait and see if you will ever meet again.
You cannot force someone to love you. It needs to be mutual. Just remember (if you are young) that first loves are not always your last love and if you don't let it go, you may never allow another love to come into your life...one that will make you happy.

Kate, I am very sorry if you misinterpreted my response to you. I had been reading many of your poems that you brought forward and was touched enough to respond to a few of your most recent poems.

i can relate so well to your poem... im in love with someone i havent seen for four years as well... its hard but we just have to ignore it and move on. beautiful poem <3
