Michael How far back shall we turn to find the creature which lashed the creature he thought he yearned to be into him? Out of him it came, its pallid, cloven angles, its squeaks and gibbers, jives and jerks, sluicing him into the arms of the world. This is what comes of listening to snakes; of eating the changeling apple. |

It did seem he held something fearful inside him. Perhaps being it was the only way he thought he could scare it away. A thoughtful poem. |
