Cries Amidst the Peaks |

We dream of meadows, fragrant and sun-soaked, Where rainbow carpet welcomes our stay β And there we rest, embraced and foliage-cloaked In shade our lips do dance and fingers play. βTis love that draws two hearts to beat in phase And passion surging within heaving breast Bursts in crimson sea, surging and ablaze, No call we have for pause nor needless rest. An evening draws near; a cooling breeze chills The superheated breath, and hushed caress Of whispered words grows strong among the hills β Till we in cry our love for each profess. We dream of meadows, one the other seeks, And our cries still echo amidst the peaks. CG |

CG, what a treat to read another of your love poems so soon! I thought that I was going to have to wait for another eternity! "Of whispered words grows strong among the hills β Till we in cry our love for each profess." My, oh, my, you surely bring the sighs from this fellow Canadian! And who says Canadian's aren't romantic?!? A pleasure to read ~ and experience! EA |
