Happiness Blooms Picking and choosing the sky A philanthropist, gloomed to deny Each in its order, long stem to thick border Petal by petal, all the roses to nettle Happiness blooms A garden named for her dress Picking and choosing to bless Each rainy day, as renewal winds sway Sweet pea to suckle, each blueberry buckle Happiness blooms Seasons roll on like the sea In ambient waters set free Grows fertile within, to sprout forth and begin Petal by petal each sun rise and settle Happiness blooms Every sunny spot spring, through the autumn to ring In the wintering bliss, hides a requiem kiss From within to without, every seed thrives through doubt For to see with clear eyes is not random surprise As the world will respond to touch warming and fond And in each of us flowers the rooms From within all happiness blooms Copyright Kkh 8/13/08 |
