The dead and dry |

Morning dances lightly upon my consciousness its gentle tread a soothing of what awaits ahead but heart takes up the arms of rebelliousness and seeks again the safety of what it hoped would be. It nestles in remembrances of true womanhood that opened up the gates to complete fulfilment and lays the wreath quietly so at the feet of love in the manner of a mourner at a grim grave stone. Sun witnesses from afar this harsh abandonment but the birds serenade the dawning of reality that gaily heralds in an unwilling pirouette into a pleasant but meaningless relationship. The mind on the sidelines sends out messages “Constrict, contract, squeeze, tighten up!” and the heart cries the tears of one to be denied because it knows to feel and anticipate the slow approach of brittleness. The dead and dry, brittle, will assuredly die when the mind protects and closes up its pipelines of sustenance perceived now and always as unconditional love! Helen / 29 August 2008 |

I had to read this through two or three times... I love what words can convey and how beautiful they can be when they're penned in sequence |

quote: Wow, dear Helen! You certainly have put aside any residues of numbness!! This is again an outstanding write and the last stanza is simply perfect! It seems we can't reach full satisfaction down here in our relationships, but when we move our focus from our ego self to our higher self suddenly we seem to be much less in need and we can see what we truly are ... complete in divine connection. Congratulations for this one! Love and hugs. Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |

Thanks, Skyfire and Margherita. No, I think I'm not numb but rather in shock. It's a bit weird to not know how one is but it's like I'm partaking of life (and it isn't bad these days) but sort of watching it from the outside. Yeah - weird! Love Helen |
