A State of Disarray

0 posted 2008-12-27 12:01 PM

In the days of then...
The tears of a girl
Keeping lonely company
And a melody of song
Flowing in unity.
So Alone.

The tune permeates
A scent of time.
Dated Polo cologne
And a moonlight dance
In a place called "Pasture."
Music glittered stars
From car speakers,
Hose wet from the grass.

A song that, now,
In aged repose,
Brings a knowing smile.
Despite romance,
And surety of youth,
He was not 'the love'...

My credit's not Bad...I'm just protecting myself from identity theft!

This made me smile with the innuendo in such verisimilitude.

Good work!

Eric

Great word...I even had to look it up!!!  Actually this was very real.  He is now a happily married family man to my beloved best friend.  I stood up for them at the wedding.  Just heard the melody and it brought back the memory....and the impetuousness of youth.     Thank you for reading Eric.

Thank you Annie.

Eric....absolutely no offense taken.  I have a pretty thick shell in any case.
