That I could be a bird Your heart, my love, my cage; Forever I would sing with mirth, Of ditties, there would be no dearth: That I could be a bird And you, my love, my cage. That I could be a fish And you, my love, the sea; In search of hidden treasure, I’d swim with such pure pleasure: That I could be a fish And you, my love, the sea. That I could be the moon And you, my love, a star; We, on the world, would pour cool light, And brighten many lovers’ night: That I could be the moon And you, my love, my star. Nay, let me be your Mark And you, my Ying, my love Be you the tree, and I the bark We’ll bask in sunlit Central Park; Peacefully I’ll be your Mark And you, my Ying, my love. |

Lovely thoughts and very well structured. I love those types of list thoughts as they seem to peak and valley with such emotion! Eric |

Marc-Andre, This is truly lovely and very well written. I can almost hear it as a song - it sang in my head as I read. Alison |

Looks like you are barking up the right tree, Marc Nothing negative to say here. The poem is excellent, not a beat out of place and it is a pure love testamonial...would make wonderful song lyrics. |
