~~**~~ here is how I hurt in the memory of such orchids they bleed like innocence’s some element of color blue, green, pink their flesh of winter/s I hurt because I can because it bears no witness to my tongue because it bears no witness to the glass that shatter/s-- but the memory is there in some silver light that begs my attention in your palm; like a child praying & rain storms breathe heavy-- wrapped in their own small language a cradle of some love, long forgotten how precious the blue; your color, when I remember such visions to behold once more I am tangled in some color of the moon some pureness-- wishing and waiting for the rise the seek of long hours -- each garden to lay beneath my sleep the sorrow of my dreams hovers over the green song- when I can arise and say there is no darkness in my nightmares -- but I am a reckless soul-- searching for the secret-- learning the speech of echoes in such rivers-- when you bear wildflowers and hold your palms closed-- when my eyes forgive the difference between night and day-- the same green weave I've made-- I imagine you at the edge of my language your reflection stirring the day before the world can translate a meaning and daylight falls dusk to twilight in silvermemory ~~**~~ I never let one moment define me, I define myself by all moments and how they teach and touch me......02 |

Stunning as usual. I noticed something Lauren, you reference color in your poetry a lot. This time it was the color green, but in just about every poem you refer to a color, and also green too most times. At least you know I noticed. LOL Loved this! |

Ahhhhhhh ... such a lovely treat to read you again. Spellbinding as always. ------------------------------------------ I am tangled in some color of the moon ------------------------------------------ And shining bright as always. Now those are the tangles that you don't want to brush out. ------------------------------------------- but I am a reckless soul-- searching for the secret-- learning the speech of echoes ------------------------------------------- I can't think of a better reason to be reckless and you translate those echoes well. Excellent reading here and you color the world with your poetic reasoning of the nuances of life. |

I didn't understand much of this piece but you certainly can't say enough wonderful things about the mood and the beauty of the composition. Mysterious and warm all at the same time. Loved it!~ Eric |

most glad to see your post grace these fine blue pages, Lauren! I am especially fond of: " I imagine you at the edge of my language your reflection stirring the day before the world can translate a meaning..." much applause for this 'penning'! |
