She Wears A Smile

No one knows about the tears
That continue to flow inside
She wears a smile on her face
So others don't know she cries

It has taken too many years
To get to where she is at
Being able to hide the fear, and
The pain that seems to last

At times she feels as if she's drowning
From all the tears held deep within
A tiny little teardrop sometimes falls
When she remembers way back then

Then, she starts to wonder where
All the love had gone to?
Or, if what he had once given her
Was even ever true?

She wiped the tears from her eyes
Putting on a great big smile
As she hides all the fear and the pain
At least for a little while
