Bone’s cousin Robert was sent
to prison for theft.

He was raped in cell block “B”.

A short time after his release,
he died of Hepatitis “C”.

Prison is supposed
to make you better,
a whole man.

It’s not supposed to kill you.

Yes, it is sad what happened to Robert. I'll admit, he was a bad kid, but he was just a kid.

Yes, it is sad. I think of Robert every time I hear about someone going to prison.

a sad poem for a common destiny, there are so much prisoners in USA (perhaps the most in the entire world) thanks for caring.

Yes, the U. S. has the highest percentage of its people in prison.

Prison here is a self perpetuating enterprise.

I'm never ok with bad things happening to kids. "good" or "bad" yes, they are just kids and it breaks my heart Bobby

What happened to Robert broke the heart of the whole family.

Robert wasn't exactly a "kid". He was in his twenties when he died.
