I sit alone and wonder when it was I became accepting of lack; accepting of getting so little back I watch as my friend pushes me aside to take center stage with little dignity, certainly no pride “Look at me, look at me” she cries, with every sentence so very neatly comprised of woes, stress and “oh I just can’t take it” moans. Soliciting what used to be my home. I am defeated, dejected and so tired of those that have so little self worth they hurt, taking shamelessly what others desired. You want to be me? You take it all, not just what you think you see, and when you do? I wish a friend exactly like you. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

I'll smack her around for ya. Even this is about me. Especially if this is about me. Now hug me, gorgeous! |

Loved this. ...and the title? Well, Machiavelli always knew how he was getting home from the party. |

That is quite a sad poem dear Susan but don't lose faith, I'm sure good things are on the horizon. Love Lindsay |

Hey, I agree with Karen. I think we should smack her around a bit. And that's what your poem did to me - see, you made me feel as you so often do. I think I know this person you write about and I am glad that you put your thoughts into this poem. xoxoxo Alison |

Alison, I sincerely hope you do not know her. I am currently dealing with the backlash from this person and it's a challenge for me....I wouldn't wish it on anyone else. There is true evil in some. It's called selfishness. thank you for responding. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
