It could be said that silence reigned between the two in just one bed and yet if listening one could hear the gentle tide of need rise up and dance to rhythms of desire. His hand in hers began the chant, “Sing, my maiden, now’s your chance” and she responded moving near propelled by words no one could hear. She sang within her soul that night the song of lovers everywhere as with his lips, his breath, his tongue, he reached through skin into her core and brought from darkness into light her shadowed self not known before. But not enough she needed him to take from her all she could give and so he entered through the folds to beats that only heaven knows. She didn’t know; how could she know, her spirit flew some time before towards the door he opened then for her to enter into love. Today the maiden no more sings; love’s not a very happy thing, when dark again from light descends and shadows fall and lengthen more. It could be said that silence reigns around the one left in a bed and yet if listening one could hear … the ebb and flow of heartbreak tears! Helen / an old write |

Some are never able to receive, some never to give. It's beyond wonderful when both are truly ready. A heartfelt write, Helen. |

That door will open again for you. Probably when you least expect it to. I have found when I quit looking for something, that is when it tends to show up in my life. Your flow in this was smooth and natural making it a double pleasure to read. |
