            Snowy Forest

Come walk this snowy forest
(where truth lies nestled in the
timelessness and moonlit shadows)
with only your dreams as a compass
and the moon as your pathfinder.

Here all cares are ephemeral…
puffs of mist vanishing
o’er the Winter mere,
where eternity beckons
in the whispering wind.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

I've walked those snowy forests in Altoona.  They extend all the way to the Artic Circle from there.

Bruce,

You write about the kind of snow that I miss. Where I grew up, the snow was deep and fluffy.  The snow is different where I am now.  It's fluffy for a bit maybe, but the moisture is sucked out and it becomes dry and squeeky to walk on.  It's snowing lightly now and I see your poem in the woods beyond my window.  I'll take the dogs out later and we'll think of you.

Bruce, you did a splendid job of capturing the essence of a snowy forest!

Hi Bruce, I would so much like walking in this snowy forest, hearing the crispy steps and listen to ;the frozen silence...Thank you for the poem.

Ahhh!  Forests I know very well and am very much at home in - but snowy, I don't know - or rather, I didn't, until now, and I am so enjoying walking through this snowy forest, where cares drift away .  .  .
