I can not describe the pain inside, I only reveal the good, the bad I hide I’m cold underneath this warm cheery smile Freezing and losing the life-long trial Thank God my face is versatile I needed someone in which to trust For a refuge of contentment I did lust Looking for a sanctuary was preposterous I’d searched so far, and meticulous Now my looking seems ridiculous The friend I needed, found me instead Turns out it was from Him I’d fled God was trying to help me out all along He lifts me up even when I do wrong That’s why to Him I now belong |
