I wrote this about a man I had been sitting with, since June. He passed away on 11-23-08 about an hour and a half after I left. People have told me before, that I have an easy job. Well, you know what? My job is not easy at all. I showed this poem to his sister, and she called me , today, asking me if she can read this poem at His funeral. Of course, I told her she could. Dearest Sue, what a compassionate, sensitive, loving, beautiful and touching write!! You were a blessing to this man, and your generous heart and service have brought him wellbeing and joy in the last times of his earthly life. I think no eyes will remain dry when his sister will read your poem. (((((Sue))))) you don't have an easy profession, but what you do is ever so precious. Love and hugs. Margherita |

Sue, I am all choked up again reading this exceptionally moving poem. I know his passing has been difficult for you, however, my dear friend, I know in my heart of hearts that your caring ways will remain in his soul memory. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Love you, Linda |

Margherita - I hope I was a blessing to him. I don't care what anyone says, this is not an easy job. For me, it is very, very hard to sit an watch someone who is dying, and not being able to do anything to stop it. Amusemi - Thank you! 1slick_lady - Thank you for your kind reply. Marchmadness - Thank you for your kind reply. Roniece - Thank you! I try to be good and kind to everyone. LindsayP - Thank you so much for you very kind reply. Earth Angel - My dear sweet friend. Thank you for being there. As you know, I will be getting ready to leave for the funeral soon. This is so very hard. I hate goodbyes. |
