.

The first frost
Has been and gone
For a long time now

It seems to get
Colder every year
With the snow deeper
Along the shores

Leafless branches
The withered fields
A cold half moon
Above the road

A flight of geese
In the night
Passes overhead

Calling to each other
As they go

Seems like a very serene scene to me.
