CONFLUENCE 17 August 1986 There, where I am most alone, in sun-proof forests, in rock-wet kloofs and in the silence of my mind, I cannot shut you out and so your thoughts flow into mine. Like ever-calling streams, they meet and mingle and rejoice, ever apart and ever one. They share again what they always shall. - Owl |

Thank you, Ida. It is one of my favourites too. Thank you, Margherita for feeling the depths of this. Thank you, Bill for your kind words. Thank you, Kacy! Oops! Yes, of course! I didn’t realise that I had used a South African word (from the Afrikaans word of the same spelling). It is such a common word here. A kloof is a deep ravine. - Owl |

Now that is what I would call "CLOSE"! Your pen must surely be a feathered quill. Love to you, Dear Diana! Linda |
