 Artist: John Everett Millais In Silence, I Weep by Linda L. Dowd I slide down silk tendrils of moonbeams, And into thy sweet dreams of night. I wrap thee in a gossamer rainbow, ~Woven strands of shimmering light. Mine breath be the promise of roses, Thou inhalest its perfumed imbue. Mine touch be the caress of down feathers, Soft kisses be the moist morning dew. With the rise of full moon I do travel, To lie by thy side whilst ye sleep. Mind you, I feel the use of archaic language lends a touch of Renaissance romance to my love poem which is what I was attempting to convey. Have a great day! Linda |
