Illusory Sunset Linger longer, mauve moments and quivering lips Dispersed on the seasons, of time’s hourglass hips Fallen in billows, round the knees of what has come Favored fabrics in gather, pleat in pardon outdone Colors brightest, cinched tightest on the waistcoat of morn Unreliable, shyness sent in fated adorn In the sigh of the whispering woods heard to say What was once has now slept through the winter’s delay Sense the subtle life beat of the wind and the rain Come together in harmony, a replenished refrain Be thee twilight, or sunrise, as their twin only knows When the heart is wide open, ne’er the difference dispose Copyright Kkh 11/23/08 |
