It’s not wet,
just cold,
so Bones is out on the court,
shooting hoops
like he’s supposed to.

It’s lonely out there,
but he doesn’t care.

There’s nothing
he can do about that
anyway.

Bobby

It is strangely lonesome. Vivid. What did prompt you in writing this, if I may ask?

A vivid reminder of the lonliness we all feel at times.

Thanks Poddarku,

The inspiration behind this poem was the sound of a lone kid playing basketball in the playground across the street.

Thanks for reading and commenting.  I'm pleased it gave you a lonely feeling.
