Sitting alone in the entry way Rehearsing what I need to say I don't want to rid my heart of you But it’s something I have to do As I climb up the staircase Tears streaming down my face This is going to be so hard But I can't let down my guard I stop over by the attic door To clear some space, so I can add more It’s been awhile since I've been up here I stop to brush away a tear Opening a trunk to pull out a scrapbook I sit down to take a little look A photograph of you falls to my feet The picture of love when it was so sweet Although I feel the urge to stall I know I must move on down the hall I unlock the door to your room Which looks to be more like a tomb A place where love was left to die And you won't bother to tell me why I open the door and step inside Don't try to run, there’s nowhere to hide There are a few things I need to say Before I send you on your way So have a seat and listen to me And I will tell you what’s to be Do you remember happy times in our past? When love’s spell was so easily cast? Now it seems the magic has run out And all I have left of love is doubt. Since your love you never show I must now ask you to go You see these rooms I must reserve For those with the love I so deserve How I wish there was something you could say To make me want to let you stay But too many words were left unspoken And you can't regain a trust that’s broken So the time has come for you to depart Your lease is up at the house of my heart Now find the door that’s painted black Go fast, Go now, and don't look back. |

We can never say all we need to say. Sometimes it's good just to close the door. Sharon |

You write so well. I guess there is a room for lovely memories even of love stories that have come to an end. Love, Margherita |

Margherita our heartaches and hardships build us. to make us who we are today, Some of our hardest experiences teach us wonderful things about life, If we've never felt pain, how do we have empathy for others? What don't kill us makes us stronger,grins.. Thank you once again for your warm encouragement.. Its wonderful.. |
