Back and forth, back and forth, all trees wave in the breeze as if they know instinctively to look back at the past, contemplate the future, and remain grounded in the place they’re at. Do they paint in the moonlight like I do sometimes, yes, a picture of the future and does the sunlight touch it up or burn away ideas when sunken are their roots in the sand of present times? I know to touch up, yes I do, so my picture perfect, awesome, good, can move forward, on, and up, while I remain yours faithfully here between the lines of my now lifestyle. So I’m confined, indeed I am, me and you and everyone, but trees do not believe they cannot see the moon like a future glowing in the darkest night. I’m not a tree but maybe… yes, tonight I see the moon! Helen / 4 November 2008 |
