Eternal Reckoning The Winter wind blows dry-wrinkle scraps of withered leaves, shattered hopes, and fading memories... through these empty rooms where dreams had lived, and love once walked in precious moments lost to Time’s eternal reckoning. --- b. e. adams (10/31/08) |

This, my friend, is one of the best poems of yours that I have read. This is the one I put an asterick by and come back to read again and again. Alison |

Hey "dry-wrinkle scraps of withered leaves, shattered hopes, and fading memories..." Really awesome emotional image there! Much like the rest of this very vivid poem. Thanks for the inspiring read. |

I grandly appreciate everyones' comments on this 'write'; however, I wish I wasn't so 'empty' (and could 'pen' the more pleasant stuff) ... Unfortunately, I now know EXACTLY what Mr. Eliot meant about 'hollow men'; etc. |
