It's far too late at night
to be thinking of you
but i try try to close my eyes
tight enough to block the rays of your ideal smile.

I'll roll over and tight tighten the opposite side
of my thickened ribs
I can't get comfortable
lying on your adamantine memory.

This happens to me too sometimes.  We humans are certainly odd creatures.  I hope you share more of this series...k

The luster of a memory at times sparkles yet does have the hardness of stone.

Great read.

Enjoyed

Thank you, my fine friends.

And yeah.. memories can be the clouds beneath your dreams, or a bed of jagged rock..

Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand.

Thank you all so very much! I wrote this very late at night on a whim... Stupid girls.... Ha!

I liked the title, myself. Thought it was fitting.

Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand.
