It's your birthday
this coming friday

you're coming home
and maybe i'll run into you

on an accidental purpose
downtown, by the river.

In front of my favorite bookstore
The Antiquarian Bookseller

if we're lucky
you can trip

and I can catch you.

(The Sadie Series.)

Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand.

Yo Paul,

This is a fine write.  It is well organized, and conveys a mood.

Sounds like you are sentimental about certain people. I always remember my ex'x birthday, and many times have wished we would run into eachother casually, somehow. I love old books too. I enjoyed this lots.

One shouldn't trip while in front of a book store.

viking_metal - to trip and then to catch one in front of a favorite bookstore. Wouldn't that be something nice...

This is simple and effective, and I don't know why or how but you certainly caught me.

Hah! Thank you all very much! This is the most interest any write of mine has ever gotten....

We actually did end up running into each other on her birthday weekend, oddly enough. She and I got together for a while later in the day, and she enjoyed the present I got her quite a bit.... Nerf Tag! Haha, childhood rules...

funny how "fate" works, huh?

I thought I'd answered to this one, too.

*frown*

The title is a novel, and your poems are indeed charming.
