Going Forth You gave me more than all I could have given in return. You loved me more than all the love I could have given in return. You cared for me more than all the care I could have shown you in return. You showed me colors and rainbow dancing lights I could have seen through no one else but you. You said that I was Starlight. You told me I inspired you; yet no one else had ever quite inspired me quite like you. Now circumstances interpose and intervene, and Time sweeps us on our separate ways. I have just few quibbling regrets ... hardly even worth mentioning. Now all we could have had on Earth is ended. But through every end there is a new beginning; and in every loss there is an even greater gain. And after every evening there is morning, and even in the jagged teeth of Death, there blossoms Life. I've just never found a way to say goodbye. Now I must go forth. Now I will be thinking of things that are eternal, of Friendship, of Life, of everlasting love, and hope. And since I just can't seem to say goodbye, I say, hello, because it's easier that way, because it is morning again, because it's not the end, but the beginning. Friendship is for Life, if not Forever. |

Jaime, This is "you" at your best. This, my friend, is beautiful. It is truth and pain and love. Thank you for sharing. Hugs, big special ones heading to you now. xoxoxo Ali |

"You showed me colors and rainbow dancing lights I could have seen through no one else but you. ..." "of Friendship, of Life, of everlasting love, and hope." A poignant reflection you have served here. I found this piece very moving, filled with hope, and memories with few regrets. Enjoyed. Some very good lines in this one but I think my favorites are --------------------------------------- because it is morning again, because it's not the end, but the beginning. --------------------------------------- Those show hope, conviction to not give up, and strength. Well done. |
