Falling
Watching the snow's descent
Riding gravity
In downward spirals
Towards ineviatable dissolution

The last syllable of recorded time
The last breath
Of our dialouge with the stars
Will be forgotten; not even changing
A contemptous breeze

In the end
Even stars are only just dust
Dressed up in fluorescence and romanticism
Riding gravity
Falling

Brings to mind the joy I feel listening to Petty's "freefalling."  I really enjoyed the inevitable power of gravity in your words.

"The Moving Finger writes, and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line.."

Bladecatcher,

I have felt like that snowflake at times.  Sometimes riding gravity is a thrill ride of its own creation.

I like this poem and I welcome you to PiP.  Thank you for jumping in and sharing with us.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi, there! Welcome to the pip ship Lollypip!

Well, you certainly started your sojourn here with a bang! ~ or rather, a graceful descent onto these Blue Pages.

Giving you a warm, welcoming pip hug,

Snowfall induces philosophical thoughts for sure.

Welcome to Pip!

Beautiful first entry.
