She was
a precious baby,
an adorable child,
a beautiful woman,
a caring mother
and a treasured memory
until all who remembered
were gone.

Yo dear Ida,

This is a scathing indictment of the domestic lifestyle.  I like it loads.

No, it isn't. It is about a memory and no one left to remember it.

Oh, Ida, I was saddened as I read all that "she" WAS...

Then when I read the closing lines ~

"and a treasured memory
until all who remembered
were gone."

~ I literally got a lump in my through.

Sending a warm, loving compassionate hug,
Linda

she is and always will be beautiful

Dear Ida, that is such a cute post, short, sad and to the point. You wrote it well.
Love to you my friend.

Marchmadness - very powerful and meaningful words. Memories, no one to remember, almost like on crying from sadness, and no one to see it to help...

Ida,
How sad to be lost from memory. And how kind to remember. Lovely write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

This is really powerful, dear Ida. But then now, through you, you see, she is remembered. And I strongly believe she enjoys loving company up there, even if down here the echoes fade.

Thought provoking and compassionate!

Love,
Margherita
