Apartments The lower apartment is so much like the upper one. The dark wood on the doors, the dusty brass plates, the curiosity to see what is behind the other one. On the balconies the wet underclothes fly the notion of life, not too rich, not too poor. The curtained quarrels and then avid make ups at night are hardly hushed. The staircase sometimes sees them together. A short hello and off they go down to earth. He may not have known the name of the man had they not come to take his body. © 2008 - All Rights Reserved Kushal Poddar clever talks delay friendship! |

Yo Poddarku, This is very descriptive of life in any city. I don't know about you, but I would never want to live anywhere else. It's people, real live people. Bobby |

You rendered this reality very well, dear Ku! We can't be close to all the neighbours, as we all need our own privacy, but it's a kind of freedom embedded in humanity which I like better than a single home ... You make me think of elderly people in our apartment house who might well feel rather lonely ... I think I will call my friend Gertrud who lives alone, thank you for the soft reminder. Love and hugs, dear Poet. Margherita |

Kushal, this was so sensitively real - the last 2 lines are very sad - and awake us not to wait too long - as kind Margherita's reaction shows. - Owl |
