the next day
we visited Disney Land…
Dreams for children,
sandwiches and smiles
for individualistic parents,
the plastic pirates and
the brilliant brass instruments,
artificial seas and ghosts
one yellow submarine
and green garbage cans…
In the copper-colored evening,
the harmonious parade
of the Disney brass band…
Prefabricated moment but
so unforgettable when
you are at 10000 kilometres
from your home….

Yo 2islander2,

It's nice you visited Disney Land.  I never have, and neither have my kids.  Glad you liked it.

I've done both Disney Land, California, and Disney World, Orlando/Kissimmee .... right at my back door~
Found both to be absolutely charming ... brings out the kid in me everytime~

You make me want to get out of this hospital bed and go join the masses of happy youngsters~

Disneyland is a fun place to be except for those long lines. I haven't been there for a while but need to go and watch the great granddaughter enjoy it.

Dear Yann, I enjoyed this much, because it reminds me of the fact that we should always enjoy life's gifts with a child's heart. Oh, the wonders!

Beautiful!

Love,
Margherita

This poem, Yann, is so me - particularly the last 4 lines.  I can't believe how much your thoughts are like mine.  I loved the truth and yet, the enjoyment of it all, in spite of the take on it.

I also particularly love the first line - as though you were in the middle of a conversation with us - and placing it all in context.
