some sunday morning afternoons
we wear the same air around us
as if it were a tent with hands
that touched our faces together
and made a smile place accidental

our hands touch finger ends
like reaching under the table toes
flirting when others are busy
with church place thoughts
and not planning sinful seductions

and then our eyes are there
double parked on the freeway
in the fast lane reclining
into nearly closed day dreams
knowing each other is knowing

with help wanted sighs showing
