Wild-orphan Moon Under a wild-orphan moon, these twilight woods encroach upon an unused path, and forgotten cabin that creaks and leans with every whim of the winter wind. What fine-begotten bygone dreams and beholden promises escaped this empty cold-stone hearth and window… what fate befell the dreamers? ---b. e. adams (3/4/08) I hope anyone who reads this will also peruse Huan Yi's: "Izumi Shikibu": /pip/Forum105/HTML/000980.html [This message has been edited by secondhanddreampoet (03-04-2008 08:32 PM).] |

Bruce, IWIHWT ~ I wish I had written that! I know exactly what you mean! ~ I have experienced similar settings and had similar thoughts. ~ A masterful job of writing! I am such a big fan of your poetry and always enjoy the view through your poetic eyes, heart, and mind. Linda |

Secondhanddreampoet, Yes indeed, what fate befell the dreamers. It's really hard to tell, however, one can hope for the best. Bobby |

I really, really enjoyed this poem. It spoke of memories and it did so in simple, yet living words. I thought it was fabulous! |

I tried several times to post a reply to this poem when my computer was misbehaving. It's a lovely write, and I especially like the last few lines. |
