A single heart but single flame contains, Kindled there by love, when such love was true And where naught lives but only thy domains -- A single flame a candle burning through The solitary night; its glow untamed By winds that sweep as agents of the dark Into the chamber of the love proclaimed -- But no black art can ever leave its mark. Oh passion, do burn bright! and ban all seeds Of frosty doubt within these crimson walls - For let my love be measured by the deeds That stand my claim, and by the foe that falls: But thou knowst, if my lips should bend to thine, What exists would cease, then return divine. beautiful! I've always loved the format of a sonnet and you have it down perfectly! |

CastleGuard, This works rather well as a sonnet. Keep up the good work. Bobby |
