Sally and Felix are getting old. Angelo has left the nest. He now has a family of his own. Now they’re alone. They’re out with their dog, walking the hood. They come across a twelve year old boy, out selling it all. They have a painful flashback, to what they pulled in their own younger years. They talk nice to the kid talk him into coming home with them. Now they have a second son. He feels very much, like their flesh and blood. Bobby |

Dear RDB, He's, as I say, a second son. Now he's grown into a fine man. He's working in social services. He visited today. Bobby |

What a nice story, Bobby. I think sometimes we live the lives we do so that we can be compassionate to others. Ida |

Ida, You might have hit on the mysterious part of it. Perhaps you’ve hit the nail on the head. Bobby |

Deeply poignant, dear Bobby. God is pleased with Felix and Sally, for they have learned the most important lesson we are meant to learn: LOVE. A tough path shapes the hearts. Bitterness is transformed into gratitude, a process that deserves profound appreciation. love Margherita |

Sally and Felix did the right thing. I think they did it because it was the right thing. I like them. Alison |

Alison, Thanks for liking Sally and Felix. They did it not only because it was the right thing to do, but also because they remember when they were in the kids position. They felt that it was the only thing they could do. The situation gave them no choice. Bobby |

I too think Sally and Felix made the right decision. It is always a pleasure to read your poems. |
