I cannot sleep.
Is it my conscience?
The need to write -
What is this nonsense?
Creating sounds is a simple science-
But I need rest -
I need some silence...
The muse won't stop her long dictation,
I don't want rhymes, alliterations,
I want some space,
Some separation.
We've both outgrown our expectations,
It's time to part -
She flaps her eyelids.
She's so astonished.

She shuts the door and leaves me sighing,
The room is silent.

Six minutes pass - I'm in distress.
I cannot bear such emptiness.

Six minutes of poet created anxiety for the reader. Wonderful.
