Will it let the heart feel again? So cold to the touch now As if hiding in its own armor An armor so strong that nothing could penetrate Left wounded by that sword with a double edge No matter which way it was placed It was bound to cut deep I wasn't careful I was carefree.... what a mistake I should have know better Yet I don't regret Even though that double edge cut so deep That now the heart hides in an armor of steel With a promise to never feel again |

A fine write about the darker side of love. (Even the strongest armor has a weak spot.) |

oh no, to feel never again would really be a pity!! ... but right now I understand the wound is too fresh ... it will heal. Beautiful in its deep melancholy. Love, Margherita |

Thank you so much my fellow poets... greatly appreciate all of your words! To never feel again is a sad thought, but the heart's wounds are severe.... hard to say if it will ever love the same, but one thing it will always have is that love for life, that keeps us all strong and sane... and able to see beauty even if the heart aches... ![]() Jen--->MindBodySoul |

I think a good test of a relationship is to think about whether you are crying more than you are laughing. If you spend more time crying and feeling sad, something is wrong. There is someone out there who will love you truly and bring you joy. Best to find them. Life passes quickly. Ida |
