In Memory of (His Name Is Anthony)

Saw an eagle fly
unlike I’ve ever seen one before.
Powerful stokes of awesome wings
took him higher and higher and higher.
He climbed straight and true,
became a speck ,
flew out of sight,
left me standing humble,
consumed by the wonder of such a feat,
yet weakened in heart. . .
another child of God
had gone home.

Look up, Oh ye of the world,
and feel the breeze from his wings. . .

It's very sad indeed when one's birth is also his last good-by. I ache for all who feel such a loss; I share my tears with them.

This brings on the tears --- oh so triumphant ones, instead of sad ones, because your words speak of such grandness and purity.  What a beautiful tribute in memory of.
