They say to be careful
For what you ask for,

Because,
You just might,

get it

And you know what,
There’s a lot of truth,

Behind, those words

People gather around others,
Of like mind,

To share,
And to learn,
And maybe even,

To escape

If for even,

Just moments,

Just moments

Sometimes,
That’s all we really need,

To just keep it alive

And to just,

Try to,

survive

But when we put each other
Way up high,

Way, way, up high

Too high to even
See,

Sometimes

Way up in that
deep, dark,

Sky

Up on top of some grand,

Pedestal

Then we set that person,
Up

for a,

fall

Because the legs
On the bases,
For these so called,
Treasures,

Are usually,

Wobbly,

And,
Pretty much always,

Unsettling

I was one of the lucky ones,
To have seen a dream of mine,
Come true, for me

And I want to tell you all,
It was everything

that I ever expected

It was warm, and it was understanding
And it was lovely, and it was,

Well,

Just Beautiful

It was what we all
Have come
To know, as,

Pure,
Pure,

Poetry
But like most things,
Nothing really does,

Last,

forever

And so, what can you do

That’s just the way,

It was,
Meant to,

be

Keep searching for,
Your dreams

Dear friends

They’re out there,
And their all around you,

Living, breathing,

Sometimes so close,
That you can

almost

Feel them,

And even,

Hold them
Close,

And press your lips
Upon,

Their hearts

But appreciate it,
When, or if,
It does,

come

Because dreams,

My dear friends,

Just like the perfect

Sunset

Or, the most
wonderful

Day

you could

Ever, ever,

Imagine

Can be as,

Fleeting…

As the wind

Heavy sigh.... I have the urge to open my window and listen to the breeze....  this is beautiful.  Tell me more about your dream that came true.  I need to hear more of that lately!

Beautiful words and soul, as always~
and the pictures are great....sometimes I like to walk around with just a sheet, at night in the cool breeze

Richy, I am aching with sorrow that your beautiful dream ended.  Please, do as you advise, and keep searching, because, if you could have found such near-perfection once, perhaps you could find it again, and perhaps the next time, it really won’t end.  Perhaps time would change it to a little less than perfection, but still be exquisitely pure and lovely, but just not end.  You are unbelievably wise, as you show in your poetry and your responses, but so very particularly in this poem.  You deserve only the very best, and the most perfect match, and that, of course, is the problem.  However, I am glad that you had such snowdrop-pure perfection, even if only for a short while.  I think it is Ben Jonson who wrote that “the lily of a day/ is fairer far in May/ than an oak who stands three thousand year” or words to that effect.  I really am hoping that the wobbly legs of the pedestal you put the real magical mystical woman of your dreams on, didn’t hurt you too much and sour your beautiful moments.  Your poem is very, very beautiful, and my tears are still flowing.  I was so very very happy for you when I read your poem, “The Essentia of You”, and to read this one so soon after is shattering.  I just feel so helpless knowing that there is nothing I can do.  The breaks of silence between the lines show the pain you are feeling through the brave, gentle and magnanimous front you put forward – as though the flow of words is there, but the pain is too great for you to release them except in spurts.  There are just so many layers and so many thoughts in these fragile words of yours.  And, in the middle of all this hurt, your beautiful soul is still thinking of your friends and their well-being.  I hope that you will feel the sweet kiss of that same gentle wind for a long time, fleeting though it may be.  I hope that it wasn’t my fault and that you followed my advice in response to “The Essentia of You” and contacted her and that something went wrong because of that.

This is so true, dear Richy, but we can always pluck a new dream, can't we? The sky meadow is full of dream flowers for us to enjoy.
The heavenly match lasts longer in ethereal realms than with the feet planted firmly on the ground ... (that's why I keep mine firmly in the air!).

Your every poem is a treat. So deeply captivating!

Love,
Margherita
