It was here at that junction of nowhere with somewhere....a place of silence where the unseen
winds kiss the shimmering eye and a strand of hair
wakes me from a fitful sleep...though only occasionally....seldom.

Yes,  it was here upon a plain where lillies once
bloomed and tigers  once roamed the shore as the
waters ebbed and flowed.....mesmerizing,  captivating.

And soon,  so very soon,  tomorrow shall drain the
whisper from soft moist lips as two hands entwine
and eyes cast a pensive and wishful glance...until
the sun's glow fades...and the chill of a desert
night will bring the slightest shiver...

from the wind...perhaps, perhaps not...

Hi Berry, only occasionally-seldom do I get in here, but sure is nice to see your name.  I hope all is well in your life, for the wind, perhaps...perhaps not won't tell me.

Yes, greatly enjoyed and I love the "perhaps ... perhaps not" because who really knows why we "shiver" or why we do a million other things that we do do.

This makes me a little bit sad...Sometimes it's so hard when we remember what no longer is.
I guess that's all part of life's process, but still, my heart be still, and save my tears before the fall.

Barry, it's so good to read you, always has been and always will be.

Barry, I cannot choose a favorite line... how could I? Each is as tasty as the next. You maintain that dreamy quality always.

Magnificent.

Exquisite write. Reminds me of a friends style, someone whom I admire very much.

Barry...

if it weren't for the love of the sound
of the water, which you didn't speak of;
I wouldn't for a moment believe in something
very sacred to me
the voice of my brother in dream.

Your "plain" brought it to me; not within
dream but in in near night...

dusk, to others...

this poem brought Robert to me so swiftly
that I don't know how to thank you.
