What a nice day for sitting on the porch and enjoying the flowers. The cats sit around my chair. A tiny hummingbird is standing still, in motion, a few inches from my face. The cats and I are calmly watching the bird and thinking, "So, what's your point?" Ida Werrett |

I read this poem to my cats and they both looked smug and said, "Right on!" They said beauty ain't all that great if it plays hard to get. I tried to explain the concept of just enjoying beauty for beautys sake - and they sneered. Alison |

Such a sweet captured moment! I've been chased around by irate hummingbirds. They're very territorial and apparently humans should stay clear if they know what is good for them |
