Angelo often wonders
just what people
from the burbs
and the country
do in their spare time.

Do they putter around
in the garden?

He’s heard they have gardens.

Perhaps they go to the mall
and walk around.

He’s heard
that many go there to think,
and get some exercise.

It’s all a great mystery to Angelo.

Angelo only knows
what goes on in town.

Yes, Angelo has been around all over the place. It just took a while.

A lot of the younger children here in the hood have never seen grass. When they are taken to Fairmont Park, it sometimes is a frightening experience for them. All that green stuff, reaching up to grab them.

I remember fairmont park!!!!!!!!!!
i live in san diego now and actually have plants and grass and trees. sometimes i miss philly, other times i dont. kudos to you for staying as long as you have.
