Sally and Felix
always get excited
when election time
rolls around.

Angelo wants to know
what the entire hullabaloo
is about Election Day.

Felix sits Angelo
on his knee and
explains it to him
this way:

“Well son,
you have to understand,
your mother and I
are Yeller Dawgs.”

“But Daddy,
what’s a Yeller Dawg?”

“Well Angelo,
it’s this way.

Your mother and I
would sooner vote
for a damn yeller dawg
than vote for one of those
nasty old Republicans.”

“Daddy,
can I be a Yeller Dawg
when I grows up?”

“Why of course you can son,
you’ve got a good head
on your shoulders.”

Bobby

My Dad was a republican and my Mom a democrat
I am an independent (in every way)

That's nice dear, I'm a Yeller Dawg Democrat and always will be.

This made me giggle.  Yeah for Felix explaining it to his son... I've no clue what I am (well - actually I think I do NOW)!  Guess my dad needed to sit me on his knee!

No one seems to have found the magic formula till now, considering the situation our world is in ...

But it is indeed a good initiative to discuss politics with our children, so that they get used to value the leaders' deeds.

Good job.

Thanks dear Alison,

It's good to transfer beliefs openly.  That way everyone knows where the other people are at.

Thanks dear Margherita,

The world is just about normal.  It changes very slowly.  Keeping each other informed is a good thing.
