Maybe someday,
I'll find the time
to just lay back
in some fresh, green grass,
relishing the clouds
as they float on by

Maybe that day,
under a familiar oak tree,
somebody will lay with me
in a beautiful silence,
relishing the company
that is nature and me

Maybe that day
will come real soon

And maybe
that somebody is you

Ah, yes! Languishing side by side on soft green grass and gazing up at the clouds in companionable silence. Sighing here.

Lovely poem. Loved the coquetish closing!

May love in all its glorious forms be your constant companion in life!

James-I'm glad you enjoyed my slightly simple delight.

secondhanddreampoet- Thanks for reading my dreamy write up. I appreciate your kudos. Yay for the randomness!
Thanks for the username compliment. I mainly choose it because, much like a lot of my generation, we aren't completely ourselves, especially as teenagers (hence "The Shadow"). Plus, my favorite color is blue (hence"in Blue")
-Sorry for the name dissertation.

Linda- As alway, EA, you know how to make your felllow poets smile. I'm glad you relished the poem as much as I relished it when I wrote it. Thanks a bunch.

TinaTrivett- I'm glad you saw the beauty in my coquet-ish poem. ^_^

A delightful write.

May you be able to transform the "maybe" into certainty and the "someday" into TODAY.

Life is now.

Love,
Margherita

Too True Margherita. As always your advice is sound. Glad you enjoyed my poetic epiphany.

Alison,as always, thanks for your reply. You pretty much rock.

I_am_Patch,I'm glad that you found some joy in my poem, as wishy washy as it may seem.

Inked Goddess, I appreciate your reply and am glad my poem elicited such a response. Good advice,FYI.
